Project 4a : Working Prototype

Finish by Saturday

The implementation phase of the development process is often bittersweet. On one hand, we are finished with the fun design phase of the project. On the other, we get to see our designs come to life. Typically there are four parts to the implementation phase of a project: working prototype, code complete, visual freeze, and final submission (also called RTM or Release to Manufacturing").

There are four steps to completing Project 4:

  1. Working Prototype
  2. Code Complete
  3. Visual Freeze
  4. Submission

This week, we will be working on the working prototype. There are no deliverables this week; just try to get your project to this level of completion this week.

Working Prototype

The working prototype is when we have a skeleton of our design in place. Often the hardest part of a project is just getting started. This can be frustrating because we spend a great deal of time making little progress.
