Learning Model

As with all of your other courses at BYU-Idaho, you will have the opportunity to prepare intellectually and spiritually throughout this course. This course follows the BYU-Idaho Learning Model and provides you several opportunities to share learning and teaching moments with others. You will also have opportunities to reflect on what you are learning. Please remember you need to devote three to four hours of time for every course credit, or nine to twelve hours weekly.

Expectations

Workload

Remember, because this is a three–credit course, you will spend approximately nine hours each week doing the homework. The most important thing to remember is to pace yourself. Don't try to do all the work in one day. Set aside time throughout the week to complete your assignments.

Because this course follows the organization of the Learning Model, there are many opportunities to teach and work together with your peers.

Group Work

The group work in this course involves sharing what you have learned during the week with a group of your choosing such as roommates, family members, work colleagues, and friends.

Feedback

You can expect to receive grades and feedback within seven days of the due date for all assignments.

Late Work

Late work is not accepted in this course. However, if you have a serious issue or a major life event that prevents you from turning in your work before the given deadline, please discuss this with your instructor. Approval from your instructor must be within one week of the due date of the assignment.

Extra Credit

There are no extra credit options. To successfully pass this course and succeed in employment you need to be able to meet established deadlines.
