Group Work

Being a Quality Assurance Engineer has a lot of collaboration work. Sometimes you are the point of contact for QA on a project, you might be over several projects for the company, or you are part of a team of QA for one or more projects.

For this class, for most assignments, you can work as an individual or in a partnership. The end project for this class is a 20–50 page document. Each week you will be working on different sections of the documents, and in the final week, you will be doing peer reviews on it. You will be working with your classmates to prepare and teach each other those sections, but you need to provide original work when you submit that section.

You may work with a partner, but both of your names need to be on it, along with how each of you collaboratively contributed to the document in the appendix when applicable. It should not be a divide-and-conquer distribution, such as “you do this part and I’ll do this part." The contributions should be work done together, and the comments should reflect that. Each individual will submit the exact same copy of the paper with both of your names.

There will be some assignments that will require you to be in a group. Please pay attention to the announcements.

Late Work

As a sign of professionalism and respect, you should complete your work on time. However, your instructor has the discretion to accept late work or extend due dates as appropriate.

If your work is late, you will not be able to re-submit the work for additional credit.

Extra Credit

There is no extra credit. All assignments can be re-submitted for additional points. You paid for the class; you do the work, turn it in on time, and you get a grade. Getting a good grade will take extra work.
