Instructions

Comparing the history of nursing and nursing today, write a one-page paper about what you feel are the major differences in nursing in the 21st century and attach it here. Your instructor will read your paper and give you feedback. You may resubmit the paper as many times as you need until it meets the passing criteria.

There is a video entitled Sentimental Women Need Not Apply, which may help the learner in writing this paper. The video may also be used as one of the references (example in the APA Helps folder on the Reference page example) https://web.byui.edu/Services/Login/?RedirectURL=http://www.byui.edu/videoplayer/BYUIplayer.html?StartCue=0%26EndCue=3600%26VideoName=121550_05_vcs%26VideoType=libraryvideos

Here is a NURS 316 Library Research Guide to help you complete this assignment

Paper Requirements

  1. Narrative format (one-page not counting the title page or the reference page) can use 1st or 3rd person.
  2. A first and second level heading must be used in the paper.
  3. The reference page must have at least TWO references. You may use the Professional Nursing textbook for one reference and find another resource for the other. You may not use another textbook as your 2nd resource. It is preferred that you use a professional nursing journal article current within five years. Wikipedia and other non-professional journals are not acceptable references in a professional paper.
  4. Ten points possible and learner must redo the paper until the perfect score is achieved in APA format.
  5. It is key that this paper achieves a 6th ed. error-free paper status before moving on to other assignments in the course.
  6. This History paper will be submitted during Lesson 02 in History Paper Submission item. It will then be returned by the instructor for editing. The student and instructor will continue to submit, correct and resubmit until all the corrections are made by the student.
    • The score of the History paper will depend on the number of times it takes for the student to correct the paper with no errors remaining. At that time, the student may then proceed to the other papers in the course.
    • If something has incorrect format, the student must look up the problem and correct it. If the student cannot find an answer after trying, contact the instructor for further information. Refer to your 6th Edition APA Manual or the APA Guidelines for Papers item in the Semester Papers and APA Guidelines folder in the Course folder.
  7. Please submit the History paper and correct the feedback as soon as possible. (See Grading Rubric below.)
