CIT 241 - Network Design
Description
This course focuses on initial router configuration, Cisco IOS Software management, routing protocol configuration, TCP/IP, and access control lists (ACLs). Students will develop skills on configuring a router, managing Cisco IOS Software, configuring routing protocol on routers, and setting the access lists to control the access to routers.
Course Outcomes
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches in a small to medium-sized enterprise network.
- Students will learn to identify enhanced switching technologies.
- Students will configure enterprise class routing protocols, such as single and multiple-area OSPF and EIGRP.
- Students will learn the implementation of highly available protocols, such as VRRP, HSRP, and GLBP.
- Perform entry-level tasks in the planning, design, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of Ethernet and TCP/IP Networks.

Assignments
Exploration Activities
