MA 111 - Medical Billing & Coding

Course Description

Provides basic introduction to medical assisting students about health care insurance, HIPAA, and instructions to complete and process simple billing records and insurance forms for an ambulatory medical facility.

Course Outcomes

  1. Students will have a basic knowledge and understanding of medical coding.
  2. Students will have a basic knowledge and understanding of Insurance and HIPPA.
  3. Students will have a basic knowledge and understanding of medical billing.
  4. Students will understand and be able to facilitate a positive patient experience.
  5. Students will become better medical assistants through their knowledge and understanding of the Patient Experience.

Preventing Sexual Harassment
