Braille Book of Mormon for the Blind

In 1936, a braille edition of the Book of Mormon was produced. It consisted of seven volumes and was printed by the American Printing House for the blind, the same company that printed Bibles in braille. On the occasion, President Grant said, “I am very thankful that the Book of Mormon has been printed in Braille…I am convinced that wonderful book, full of inspiration from Almighty God…will cause many a person to rejoice who has never been able to read the Book of Mormon heretofore.”
On March 12, 1941 President Grant presented a copy of the Book of Mormon in Braille to Helen Keller. Helen Keller and Pres. Heber J. Grant
